  1. Prepare the chocolate mixture:
    In a bain-marie, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Whip the eggs and sugar:
    In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine:
    Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.
  4. Add dry ingredients:
    Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients in with a spatula until just incorporated.
  5. Add texture:
    Stir in the white chocolate chips or walnuts.
  6. Bake:
    Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking pan. Bake at 180°C (~355°F) for about 20 minutes.
  7. Cool and serve:
    Allow to cool in the pan before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
